What it does
A specification for machine-readable human-operator context files. Declares who the operator is, what authority they hold, and how they prefer to coordinate — giving every agent in a project the same structured understanding of the human in the loop.
Architecture / Key capabilities
- Operator identity declaration — Name, role, domains, and working style in a format any agent runtime can parse
- Authority boundaries — Explicit definition of what the operator controls versus what agents can decide autonomously, reducing ambiguity in delegation
- Coordination preferences — How the operator wants to interact: review cadence, approval gates, communication style, escalation triggers
- Complements CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md — Fills the gap in the existing agent-config ecosystem where project instructions and agent definitions exist but operator context does not
- Runtime-agnostic format — Designed to be consumed by Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or any future agent runtime without modification
